Alldocube VBook i35A Laptop - 128GB SSD, 8GB RAM, Celeron N3450 update question

thanks but on my media creation tool i do not get installing win11. also i made a file on my desktop and named it apprasierres.dll and saved it bit when i look at the sources folder on the creation tool stick it says in the file type text document it did not show like your file. i will give it a try and if it fails i will see if i can get the file to look like your file name thanks.
Have you watched my instructions on my video, if you did, you will know all you need Windows 11 ISO image and extract the ISO image to replace the appraiserres.dll file in the Windows 11 setup file with one from an older build of Windows 10?

In File Explorer settings there is a checkbox to hide known extensions. You must uncheck this box so you can see all extensions. In this case the new text file will turn from "New Document" to "New Document.txt". If you try to rename it you will see that only the file name "New Document" is highlighted. You have to also delete the ".txt" extension at the end and leave the new file name as "appraiserres.dll". If you have hidden the extensions you neither can see nor delete the ".txt" at the end. You will be asked for confirmation to change the file type from text to .dll and you will see that the white page icon changes to a white application window with a couple of gears inside, the default for .dll type of files.
ok found that. i made a new media creation tool and found the file and renamed that file on the desktop after i unchecked that box that file did come up and said xxx.dll.txt and i took out the .txt and then i copied that into the new creation tool and it came up thi this i renamed the original to as a -1.dll just in case. i will try it and see if it works

Only upgrading from Windows 10 or from one Windows 11 version (22H2) to the next 23H2) does compatibility check. You can install all other updates without any further compatibility check.

Tip: If you use Rufus to create a USB flash drive from Windows 11 ISO, it cwn also patch it so you can upgrade without replacing the file. Make sure you stay disconnected from the internet though.

ok i ran well last night but it says 22h2 for build i though 22h2 was win10. it did not want to download the last download last night and it had the ! in the retry circle arrow field.

on thing i noticed in the bottom taskbar was some of the apps i have loaded did not show they were shadows if i hovered they did show the icons.

i expect a few bugs until i get used to it. one thing i do not like is the down arrow on the top bar at the left that points down i do not want that because it takes room i need. if anyone has a fix for that let us all know. i had that on another pc and i reinstalled chrome and it went away but not this time.

got my hand repaired yesterday any it takes a long time now to type. 1 finger takes a long time.

so i use that pc at night wetting on the couch watching old tv shows the wife picks so that is when i will see all the changes thanks

Version 22H2 is for both Win10 and Win11, the Build numbers are different. The first 2 numbers of the Version are the year, the H is for Half and the last number is first or second half. My 4 Win11 machines are on 23H2 after Patch Tuesday. I've not seen there will be further Version Upgrades of Win10, only the Build updates. I've seen mention of no additional features being added.

If you have Windows 11 22H2 install all updates up to build 22621.2506 or higher, then install the 23H2 Enablement Package (link in respective thread) to switch to 23H2 in a few seconds. There is no hardware compatibility check, so no need for tricks on unsupported computers.

Even if it wasn't, it is new technology and should have no issues running Windows 11, considering I have installed it on virtually every Core 2 Duo CPU or higher. If that old systems have no problem running Windows 11, Ryzen shouldn't have either.

now that i have win11 running on a non supported pc i find one app so far that i have pinned to the taskbar that i can't see. it is the my radar app i see it on the desktop and in the classic menu but when i put it on the taskbar it vanishes. i can see the shadow and it it is running the marker under it but no icon. if i can figure out how to get the icon in then section for changing icons i may be able to grab it there and get it to show. i uninstalled it and reinstalled it and i get the icon on the desktop but not on the taskbar.

Maybe you must delete the icon cache to force File Explorer to read the icons again and display them properly. One way to do that is yo open a Command Prompt as Administrator and then navigate to your user folder (C:\Users\username) and then to the hidden folder AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer and delete all files iconcache*.* To avoid any error messages that the files are used, first go to Task Manager and End Task Explorer, then delete the files. Now type Explorer to load File Explorer again and Exit to close Command Prompt.
Code:
C:
cd \
cd users\username
cd AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer
del iconcache*.*
Explorer
exit
Replace username with your actual user name.
