If you want to find if your device qualifies for the Windows 11 or not, you can use Microsoft's PC Health Check app to discover it. The app runs a test to check if your PC meets the system requirements to run Windows 11.

This page does not show that Celeron N3450 as supported, the N4000 is the lowest-numbered model:
Also, press Windows key and R, type tpm.msc, see if it has the Trusted Platform Module Version 2.

thanks guys i do not have the pc so i can't test that out yet. but just wondering. i see lots of non supported pcs on ebay that show win11 running on them so i was curious. also i found a win11 topic where someone put win11 on an unsupported pc and they claim it runs good and gets updates. so it makes me wonder if winn11 will run good on old pcs and still get the updates even though windows says no. or are those guys blowing smoke? thanks

Yes, there are procedures posted on various forums about bypassing the default install of Win11 but I haven't had a need to try them. I need to keep my Win11 as default so as to support my clients when they get a new machine, have to be able to see/understand what they see. And given that sometimes Microsoft will issue updates that set things back to their defaults it's hard to say if they won't also do that to the tweaked/tricked installs.

thanks i wonder if that bypassing will affect the OS also. i started asking about the alldocube pc and it seems to be not updateable. today for S&G i downloaded that win11 iso type file and tried to install it on one of my hp probooks and it would not install it said the pd did not meet the minimum requirements. so that could be a good thing. thanks

I also have on hand 5 Notebooks running Win10 that don't meet specs but since they still have until Oct. 14, 2025 before support is ended I won't throw them out. I was given 3 of them, 2 x 15" and 1 x 17", and bought 2 Refurbs in 2019 when going through chemo just for portability, a 12" and a 13" that my wife now uses. Both refurbs came with a 1-year warranty, cost was $159 and $149 USD.

TPM 2.0, 8th generation Intel etc are not strictly required to run Windows 11. This means if you bypass compatibility check to upgrade or clean install Windows 11 it will behave exactly like Windows 10 64-bit. It will accept the same drivers, probably some of these for Windows 7 or 8 and the same applications. Read the respective thread for more details.

thanks i tried the win11 media creation tool in the usb and clicked the setup file on the thumb drive and it did some stuff and then said the pc was not ready for win11. so the media tool seems to know. i did have rufus but that was for the win10 iso for installing new drives on pcs. if you have a different way, please send that link along and i will give it a try. it will be interesting to see if that 6470b probook will run win11 and still get security updates. thanks

According to the respective thread, you must disconnect from the internet. Then mount the ISO and run Setup. It will create a hidden folder with the setup files. You must replace the hidden file C:\$Windows.~BT\sources\appraiserres.dll with an empty fake before proceeding with the upgrade. Keep disconnected from the internet until the upgrade is complete. To create the fake file right-click on the desktop and create a new text file. Rename this to appraiserres.dll without the extension .txt at the end. Delete the original file and copy-paste the fake in the folder.

well i tried that process tonight and i put the media creation stick in the pc and booted it and started windows so i went to the thumb and clicked setup all it did was try to run it again and the told me the same thing that the pc failed the requirements. i may have the wrong creation tool for this. there is no file on the stick or the pc with that file name you suggested.
C:\$Windows.~BT\sources\appraiserres.dll i do not see this file any place on the pc or the thumb stick files in that media tool the main folders on the stick has boot-efi-sources-support-autorun.inf-bootmgr-bootmgr.efi-then the setup application

so i will see if i can find a different was to do this. thanks

Some file extensions are hidden by default. Change settings so that you see all extensions and make sure you rename the file to appraiserres.dll If it is appraiserres.dll.txt as in your photo it won't work

thanks but on my media creation tool i do not get installing win11. also i made a file on my desktop and named it apprasierres.dll and saved it bit when i look at the sources folder on the creation tool stick it says in the file type text document it did not show like your file. i will give it a try and if it fails i will see if i can get the file to look like your file name thanks.

ok i tried it with both appraiserres.dll files and then i deleted the one that said test and it still failed. so it must be looking for that file to have some data in it. it has 175kb of something but i do not have a app to see what it is. so i must have did it wrong. i looked at the win10 iso stick and it has the same file so i;m going to do as the video and put both folders on that pc and copy both stick and then put the win10 file in place of the win11 file and then put that on the win11 stick just in case it works so i do not forget. i can always get the win11 iso back as i have in on this pc. i will let you know how that goes soon thanks

In File Explorer settings there is a checkbox to hide known extensions. You must uncheck this box so you can see all extensions. In this case the new text file will turn from "New Document" to "New Document.txt". If you try to rename it you will see that only the file name "New Document" is highlighted. You have to also delete the ".txt" extension at the end and leave the new file name as "appraiserres.dll". If you have hidden the extensions you neither can see nor delete the ".txt" at the end. You will be asked for confirmation to change the file type from text to .dll and you will see that the white page icon changes to a white application window with a couple of gears inside, the default for .dll type of files.
