AMD AM5 Chipset Driver Possible Issue

Hello All

Recently seen on My Motherboards site "Updated Chipset Driver" Well went ahead and downloaded and installed it, was informed by someone that i should never get Chipset drivers from Motherboards site, and always from AMD, Resources & Support, Chipset Driver, AM5, B650.

The person that informed me of that never replied on a Reddit PC build area, what i should do though now if anything or just leave it as it, til next AMD offical chipset driver driver update and fix it then perhaps, or wait til i get my future Samsung Pcie 4.0 NvMe replacement boot drive from this Kingston NV2 1TB Pcie 4.0 drive

Still a little bit of a Noob with AMD Platform, but learning as fast as i can

So should i just leave it like it is for now?

Remove Current Chipset driver install, and re install the one from AMD's own site?

Or Just wait til i get my future Samsung NVMe boot M.2 and do my clean install of Windows 11 Pro 24H2

ROFL, that must be someone special. All those drivers come from AMD, some webpages just post them sooner.
Latest driver from AMD webpage is 6.07.22.037 from July, while the latest driver is 6.10.02.1849 from October.
All those drivers are digitally signed by AMD & Microsoft, it is not like someone made them in a basement.

I always get my drivers from the motherboard website in case they tweak the drivers to optimize the behaviour of the motherboard. This is especially true of laptops where you have no idea what kind of optimizations and changes the manufacturer has made to get the thing to run.

I dunno. Just my belief anyway. Seems to work for me.

I will admit to getting my GPU drivers direct from Nvidia, though. The ASUS website is ages behind for some reason.

So Guess i'm panicing over nothing as usual lol

Though am having another issue related to Motherboard drivers, Ethernet

Some reason having issue on seeing American Truck Simulator a Steam Friends Convoy in that game

But should work fine or i think it would lol

You never have to worry on ElevenForum.
@Brink always posts the latest AMD chipset drivers (from AMD) in the Devices and Drivers section.

The only real difference getting the chipset drivers from the motherboard site or from AMD, is that AMD always posts them first.
And if you're a couple generations back on your motherboard... then AMD may be the only place to get new chipset drivers.

Got the Game working as well--unknown exact cause of that, maybe unrelated to anything


and think will always ask here if have any PC issues or Questions on drivers

Found out on asking on some PC related Reddit--not such a good idea, had me paniced did something wrong lol

As on September 30th, MSI motherboard support page updated alot of items, so i was like ok grabbing, then asked on the Reddit as had some sort of issue, ohh i know it was missing PCIe Driver in Device Manager, that i eventually solved myself by pointing it to AMD Chipset driver folder, and driver installed for the PCie device that had yellow exclamation in Device Manager that evening

Of course the person that replied there never even replied again LOL

Anyhow think all should be good now i hope
