I just wondered if any of you guys have tried gaming on Win 11?
I play a lot of the Call of Duty games via Steam and they all run fine in Win11. My other gaming passion is Half-Life, the old 1998 game either Won or through Steam I really enjoy modding and remodding as there are literally hundreds out there. I have not tried it with Win 11 yet as some of the software is old but seems to work alright with a bit of tweaking here and there.

I play some games and so far the ones I do play work just fine on 11. Kerbal Space Program works just fine.

So does Zelda Classic, and even my Microsoft Precision Pro 2 joystick. :)

And now... my joystick is that much more secure too. :D

I play many games on Windows 11, including GTA V, Tower!3D Pro, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Flight Simulator X and many others with no issues at all. All my games work perfectly.

How did you get it do install?? I’ve been trying for days. Changing comparability, etc..

Just as an FYI warning. This is one of my favorite courses (downloadable). Link is in the instructions.
On this course, it's possible to birdie every 3 and 4 par, and eagle every 5 par.

Beware of the evil holes. Holes 7, 9, and 11. They don't "seem" hard, but they are truly evil, and built to trip you up.
Even so, you can still get par on each of them, but they call on nether forces to keep you from the birdies.

Just as an FYI warning. This is one of my favorite courses (downloadable). Link is in the instructions.
On this course, it's possible to birdie every 3 and 4 par, and eagle every 5 par.

Beware of the evil holes. Holes 7, 9, and 11. They don't "seem" hard, but they are truly evil, and built to trip you up.
Even so, you can still get par on each of them, but they call on nether forces to keep you from the birdies.

So when it says to “mount” the file, the actual folder that says .iso is a rar file and if I extract it to desktop or a folder it doesn’t actually give me the option to “mount” the file. Am I missing a step, or am I just supposed to extract it?

The ISO is only... a RAR file because you associated WinRAR with ISO files.
If you go into WinRAR's options or settings or preferences... and un-associate WinRAR from ISO files... then when you right click an ISO, you WILL see the "Mount" option. :-)

I use 7-zip, but it has the same problem... I had to manually un-associate 7-zip with ISO and CAB files.

As for "where" you install the program... you can leave it at default or edit the default location to somewhere else.
I installed Links 2003 on a storage drive because with all the downloaded courses you may want... it can get to be pretty large. :-)


Mines up to 6.5GB with the extra courses. :D

Links 2003 keeps the save files on the Windows drive, but they are tiny. There's really not much to save except the character you chose, and that characters settings. It also saves things like the longest put or drive for each hole, etc.

It saves it in C:\Windows\Users\<user name>\Documents
So remember that if you ever reinstall Windows.
