Not sure if this is the right thread but here goes!

I would like a program that fits all my needs (fairly limited) that is FREE. (For architecture, if you didn't guess)

1. What I would mainly like to see is (easy) floorplanning tools. I have looked at a few that seem fine but are very limited, for example only two projects can be created.
  • Floorplanner
  • Roomsketcher
  • Sketchup
These are not options.

2. If there is any possibility, this is unlikely however, if there would be an option to make 2d house designs, I would be super happy!

By this I mean things like below...

I don't want to splash out £20,000,000 on some software, so I'm keeping this free. I am just doing this as a hobby, not a business / job.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I'm looking more architecture-specific. In most cases Cad is used for 3dprints

I used Excel for floor plans before I got a copy of MS Visio, AFAICT it doesn't do elevations but is good for floor & site plans.
Attached is the choices for Dimensioning Architectural & a floor plan I drew w/ Visio 2010.

Wow that looks very promising. Is attached floorplan made in visio? I have Full Office 365 but it doesn't seem to come with visio. I've seen it cheap though,,

Yes that floor plan was done w/ my Visio 2010
I have the Visio 2010 installed, not sure what newer versions are available.

Coincidence! Wow! I’ve seen keys for quite cheap (£10 or something) so I will look into purchasing. I did the trial and I love the way it works
