Depends how badly you want to listen to raw CD's, and how extensive a library you have, I guess.
When Dru set his Rotel up and said it was very rewarding, I did the same and found out he was right!

Actually I am not sure if I need another CD player. I have one in the bedroom and I do have some CD collection. It just so happen that we have this discussion here and my friend have some hardware to dispose. But I can definitely help my friend out. I already told him I will pass on the Marantz AIO but I am interested on either the Tangent CD II or the Rotel RCD-951.

My streaming is PC-less. From NAS to YU6 direct.

For streaming no. The files are kept on a NAS setup. But I also have direct access via network connection, so I point JRiver Media Center to play locally instead of streaming with Plex.

For streaming that's where Plex/Plexamp come in as I can stream from my android phone to my car. And I have voice command :-)

I don't play CD's all the time, mostly because my CD bookcase is way the heck in the other room, but, when I do, it is enjoyable!
Offer him 100 bucks for the Rotel! 🤷‍♂️

Well I love the Rotel but that's me. Not familiar with Tangent. That said, why not just scour the net for info. Go from there.

At the end of the day what is it you're looking to do? What item would best fit? If none, well... :-)

Already did many times. Cleared CMOS. Even the Macrium rescue disk won't boot up. I may have to try re-seating everything.
