True to some extent..., I have a pair of Jabra 75t buds I can wear all day long, no trouble...,
my Sony buds, however, are much larger and tight fitting..., I do have to give my ears a breather every now and then with them.

I think my issue is on the rubber tips as well. I've tried so many earbuds and for some reason, any earbuds with rubber tips sort of "burn" my skin. That's why I lean more on cans for wireless listening. I have the Sennheiser PXC-550II and Bose QC35.

When I am outdoors and need to use sunglasses, I either use my Razer Anzu or Bose Frames smart sunglasses for music whichever is charged and ready for use.
I basically have a way to conveniently listen to music in any scenario. But not under the water... haha...

Aside price, there are basically two things to consider when looking at headphones - comfort and sound quality. And comfort comes first. I don't care how great a pair of headphones sound, if they're uncomfortable you can't enjoy listening to them.

I have both a pair of Audiotechnica AT-M50x's and my Sennheiser HD700. I find the AT-M50x hard to wear after an hour, and thus never fully enjoyed them since the day I got them back in 2016. The Sennheiser HD700 on the other hand I can wear for hours without fatigue. Luckily though they are the better sounding phones, especially for jazz and even gaming due to their wide soundstage. The AT-M50x are better suited for RB/Dance, or Rock.

You guys are a bad influence on me. Now I want to get those Sennheiser headphones, although I have a pair of Bose QC35 headphones and a pair of Shure Aonic 50 headphones. Of course, I've been looking at wired headphones again. There's a lot out there that indicates they provide a higher-quality sound. I'm not sure I want to deal with a cord, though.

Your wishlist definitely is longer than mine. I tend to lump everything into the default, shared wishlist. This can be problematic since my wife will visit it to buy me gifts. I need a private list for things I'm contemplating getting but am not fully sold on. I do have a computer wishlist that's private.

I still have a 30 year old pair of Beyerdynamic Pro cans I use for mixing board monitoring at the church.
They're in a bit of rough shape but still ultra comfy and still sound awesome.

I've had them since 2016 them. I'm actually looking to restore them rather than replace them.

The restoration would require a new cable, ear pads, and headphone cushion as both ear pads and cushion are starting to wear (second time replacing). The original cable shorted out a while back, and the replacement is horrible as they kill the sound and soundstage of the cans. Yes, cables do matter for headphones, especially open back ones. Since the phones are no longer produced, I'd have to go third party for parts.

That said, the restoration would cost north of 350 bucks - ear pads ($50), headband cushion ($30), and cable ($275). The original price of the headphones was $799.
