The upgrade from 10 to 11 went without issue. When I signed into my user account, I got a black (blank) screen. The only item I could see was something that looked somewhat like a language bar. It was in the middle of the screen, instead of being docked in the taskbar where it should have been. Of course, no taskbar was displaying, because black screen.
I rebooted and same thing.
Maybe this build does not support multiple language input?
Running in VMware Workstation.

EDIT: Eventually the desktop started showing. The system resources were maxed out so it just took a very long while.
Indeed, the language bar cannot be docked, it is either hidden or floating.

I faced the similar issue, when fresh installed on a vm. After the first reboot, just black screen. No OOBE screen, setup could not complete the oobe, I guess. Tried twice. It worked, when I connected internet on the third try.
