Bluetooth not working on Windows 11

Hi everyone. I had my Dell Inspiron All-in-one serviced with a new HDD and Windows 11 install. I can't get the Bluetooth to work. I have gone into the Windows Settings under Bluetooth and Devices, but there in no option to turn Bluetooth on or off. It doesn't detect any bluetooth devices. I have already gone into the Hardware settings but there is no Bluetooth in the menu options. I already went into the BIOS, there is no option to turn Bluetooth on. So what can I do? Bluetooth was working fine when I had Windows 10. Thanks.

I would go back to the "service" people who did the new HDD and Windows 11 install. What did they do wrong or miss?

Thanks, I downloaded the Intel Bluetooth driver, but nothing happened. I'm not sure which driver I need. I have the Dell Inspiron 24-3455.

Open the Device Manager, and check which Wi-Fi chipset your PC is using (sometimes they switch out different chipsets). The Bluetooth capability is usually paired with the Wi-Fi device.

The other way is find your Dell Service Tag (sticker with barcode) on the back of the PC. Enter that on the Dell support site, and it should tell you what the exact Dell model and the correct drivers for it.

If there is a Bluetooth driver for your laptop, my experience is that it will be in:

Settings>Windows Update>Advanced Settings>Optional Updates

Also, run the Bluetooth troubleshooter:

Settings>System>Troubleshoot>Other Troubleshooters

Otherwise, like Jacee said, take it back. They could of very easily damaged the WiFi when operating on your laptop?

My device manager says I have the Dell 1707 chip. I downloaded the driver for that, but it says access denied. I may have to call the repair shop.

To install drivers, you need admin privileges. Does the account the shop set up for you have those?

Also: if the shop was perverse enough to 11 in S mode, you can't install much of anything.

You can get out of that: Switching out of S mode in Windows - Microsoft Support

Once you've gone into non-S mode, you can't go back (without re-installing Windows).

I've been able to install non MS apps, so I'm sure I have admin access.

Where was the "access denied" message? I presume when you tried the Intel driver, the install process worked even though it wasn't the right driver. The other installer would be similar.

But the "Dell Wireless 1707 and Qualcomm 9565 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Driver" doesn't work for you?

There are drivers for the Qualcomm 9565 device in the Microsoft Update Catalog. I'd hope that if the 9565 is showing in Device Manager, just running the Update Drivers feature would install them.

Ok, I ran the installation again. This time I only selected the Bluetooth installation, instead of choosing both Bluetooth and WiFi. And it worked. I have bluetooth now on my computer. Thanks.
