C: Drive Filling up FAST!

I only use my C: Drive for the OS, nothing else. Pictures, videos, audio, Downloads... it all goes to my F: Drive.
I did however have Plex installed on the C: Drive which is the only thing I can think of taking up so much space.
It's a 500gig NvMe but for some reason there's only 91.8 GB free?
Ran a scan, a cleaner, disk cleanup, got rid of junk files, and ran ChkDsk.
Cleaned up restore points, and old windows 10 system files.
There's only one OS on this system.
Nothing out of the ordinary so somewhere on my C: drive is a folder I'm unaware of storing some MASSIVE files.
I have made hidden folders viewable btw.

Please help, I don't know what to do.

Have you partitioned the disk? It may be that C: drive is not 500GB but a LOT less. If the OS takes up 30GB (let's say) and there is 91.8GB Free space then the C: partition may only be 122 GB size.

It is only a single partition. It has always sat at about 50% usage until I started playing Starfield. You think maybe the save games are taking up that much space?

I will look into Wiz Tree after work, that sounds like it may be a big help. Thank you for that Ghot.

Just guessing here but maybe there is a setting in Starfield that 'tells' Starfield to store games on your C: drive? Check Settings to see if there is another option.

I make sure to install all my games to the E: Drive. Movies are on D: TV Shows on G: and everything else goes to F: .

You can "guess" all day long.
Use a Disk space analyzer like we mentioned.

You'll know right away, where the space went. :cool:



I just ran Tree Size (free, portable)... it took about 5 seconds...
There's drop down arrows on the left to see what's IN the various folders.
And at the top you can choose different types of displays in "View"

Treesize Free (portable) was what I was going to suggest. It's my go-to app and has been for years to see where space is being used on my drive.

FIGURED IT OUT! The massive file folder was from Epic Games Unreal Launcher. I forgot I downloaded that super huge Sandbox game using Unreal Engine 5, I think, for incredible next gen graphics.

Correct, but I think we assumed here that the OP knew how big his drive was when they started. I think they knew that C used to have quite a bi of free space, and then didn't.
