Can I get QuickLaunch in Windows 11?

antpant's solution is very similar to Quick Access Popup, that is launched by a mouse wheel press.
I've kept my taskbar very minimal, with a couple of shortcuts -(OneCommander, Everything, Edge, OnlyOffice - all my other links are on QAP.
I'm also using Start11 as well.
So this combination suits me perfectly.

glassskutter’s KISS method has a distinct appeal, Does it help with showing multiple instances of open programs?
No. it's just a quick way to get to stuff I use often from the taskbar.
I have my taskbar settings to "Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels". If I have more than one instance of a program open, when I hover my mouse over its taskbar icon, I see all the instances of that app popup in miniature windows. I can select which instance I want to use that way.

Thanks, again, for all the detailed information.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to use it right away, as there are a couple of immediate demands on my time that I have to address, and which will occupy me for a couple of weeks before I can get back to this. I apologize. When I will return to this as soon as I can, and will inform you of the results.

Thank you.

Windows 11 24H2 does not include the Win10 taskbar, so the best way would be to rollback to Win 11 23H2.

In case you still do not want to rollback, there are several options, including Explorer Patcher's taskbar, StartAllBack or installing the Win10 taskbar directly from Windows 10 (can be done via Windhawk).

im building a floating reincarnation of the quicklaunch feature that can be used with the default windows 11 taskbar (no need to install sab, ep, etc for people that dont want to). if anyone would like to beta test it, let me know and ill proceed.

A Start Menu like win 10 or 7
ExplorerPatcher can do that. Choice of Start menu is an option in its settings.
A QuickLaunch bar or equivalent
ExplorerPatcher can do that. QuickLaunch is merely one example of a Taskbar Toolbar, just as it was in Windows 10.
Ability to launch, show and access multiple instances of open programs
Applications launched in multiple instances will get shown multiple times on the Taskbar as long as you have selected 'never combine' taskbar icons - this is just the same as in Windows 10. ExplorerPatcher has a setting for this.
Whether or not a particular application can run in multiple instances is a property of the application itself. For example, I often run multiple instances of MSOffice Excel but am unable to run multiple instances of MSOffice Outlook.
