Solved Can I sync between different email clients.

Ah yes - the Android Gmail app isn't the greatest for manging multiple accounts - although the setup that I've described will sync everything between the PC and the phone, and the Android App shows them all, it doesn't merge sent folders, but rather keeps a separate one for each account.

That's why I'm really hoping that EmClient get the bugs out of their Android client soon!

I was reading somewhere that a SENT folder should be setup on a server, not a client, and then all email clients can send their SENT emails to that single folder, but I can't see any settings in Gmail or emclient to do this.

That's probably true - not really thought about it before - but the problem here is that there are two servers involved - Gmail and Ionos, thus two 'Sent' folders, and the Gmail App doesn't have any logic to merge those (which is what eMClient is doing on the PC, and hopefully will do on it's Android app, but the beta doesn't appear to yet.)

The problem must lie in emclient. Just yesterday I set up Outlook 2021 to handle all 4 of my accounts, one of which is Gmail, 2 MS accounts, and 1 from my isp. I did have to turn on 2-step authentication in Gmail and acquire an application password to enter into Outlook 2021 before my emails would download. As @Dru2 said when an imap email is deleted anywhere(web interface, in Mail app, or in Outlook 2021, it is removed everywhere.. The only thing that does NOT sync between gmail and my email client is my contacts. They will only sync to the account I have set as default in settings (my primary Microsoft account.) I think I could sync contacts as well with a third party app if I wanted to.

Thank you everyone for your advice and input. The situation is better than it was. Hopefully emclient will perfect their Android version and then I only need one client.

CompanionLink does that. It's what I'm using.

It sync's Contacts, Calendars, Tasks, and Notes Between PC and Android device. For Android you need the DejaOffice app, but that's free. CompanionLink is paid ($69 bucks).
