Solved Can't download from the MS Store

The MS Store won't let me download anything I believe because it thinks I'm a teen. I checked my account and it says I was born in 1954 and is correct. This has just happened. As soon as a month ago I downloaded a program just fine.

I guess I mistook the problem was being a teen. It was referencing the teen badge for the download. The box says it will take me to the MS Store but I end up downloading the same file with the same result. I know, definition of insanity. Not using a work or school account either.

As a 70 yr old have you tried resetting the Store

The only other thing I can suggest it to open your profile pic to see your options. You could first sign out then sign in again. Check managing your account and devices. Check your payment methods, if any, are ok. Check settings.

Hi, Morphoo, I have just followed your link for store.rg-adguard.net/ as I am trying to download HP smart and all my download attempts from the MS store produce (Something went wrong) Accorging to the system it downloads then when it install in gets to 99% and I get thesamne message I have ried with several simlar HP printer/scanner programs from MS store and get the same problems.
So my question is, after pasting the HPSmart URL link into the above, I get a list of links. Firstly, I don't see HPSmart; I do see various versions of the HPRinterControl files. Is this what I need? If so, what do I do with them? I have recently purchased an HP Envy 6032e, and all links from HP for the setup software are through the MS Store. If anyone has a standalone version of HPSmart and could shear I would be very grateful

I was unaware that HP doesn't have a direct download, anymore. The following may be useful, however.

Unfortunately, HP Smart can only be installed from the Microsoft Store — there is no official standalone installer available from HP directly. HP Support Community

That said, here are your options if the Store isn't working for you:

1. Third-party download sites (unofficial)
Uptodown hosts HP Smart for Windows and keeps it updated — you can find it at hp-smart.en.uptodown.com/windows. FileHorse is another option. Just be aware these are unofficial mirrors, so download at your own risk. Uptodown

2. Use HP's Full Feature Software instead
HP offers a Full Feature Software package that gives you full print and scan capabilities without needing the HP Smart app. You can get printer-specific drivers and software directly from support.hp.com/drivers — search for your printer model there. HP Support Community

3. Fix the Microsoft Store
If the Store is broken, sometimes the quickest fix is running this in PowerShell (as admin):
wsreset.exe
That clears the Store cache and often resolves installation issues.
