This tutorial will show you how to change a folder color in OneDrive for your account in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
OneDrive is built-in to Windows by default.
With OneDrive, you can sync files and folders between your computer and the cloud, so you can get to your files from anywhere - your computer, your mobile device, and even through the OneDrive website at OneDrive.live.com. If you add, change, or delete a file or folder in your OneDrive folder, the file or folder is added, changed, or deleted on the OneDrive website and vice versa. You can work with your synced files directly in File Explorer and access your files even when you’re offline. Whenever you’re online, any changes that you or others make will sync automatically.
You can change the color of folders in OneDrive in File Explorer on Windows 10/11 to personalize them.
Folder colors will sync across all supported devices you are signed in to with OneDrive for Business and OneDrive for School and SharePoint users.
Folder colors will not sync for Personal OneDrive accounts signed in with your personal Microsoft account.

Welcome to the New Era of Microsoft OneDrive: AI, Productivity, and Memories at Your Fingertips | Microsoft Community Hub
At today’s OneDrive , we unveiled a powerful lineup of new features designed to help you work smarter, stay organized, and relive life’s best...

Here's How:
1 Make sure OneDrive is running, set up, and sync is not paused.
2 Open your OneDrive folder in File Explorer (Win+E). (see screenshot below step 3)
3 Right click on a folder in OneDrive you want to change its color, click/tap on OneDrive, and click/tap on Folder color. (see screenshot below)
4 Select an available color (ex: Red) you want for the folder, and click/tap on Apply. (see screenshots below)
Yellow is the default color.
When you apply any color other than Yellow, the folder will only appear in that color and thumbnail previews will not be supported.
When you apply the default color Yellow, the folder appearance will be restored back to default with thumbnail previews available.
5 The folder color (ex: Red) change will now be applied in OneDrve. (see screenshot below)
That's it,
