Hi Shawn,
very interesting post, I have a question regarding another change that I would make in OneDrive, regarding the description of OneDrive in the left pane of Explorer.
I've posted my question in Microsoft support

but I wasn't able to change the name.

I see in your example that the OneDrive folder is called "Shawn-Personal", do you know if there's a way to change it in "OneDrive-Personal"?

I've checked many register keys but I didn't find where Explorer grab the first part of the name, that usually comes from Windows folder username, I suppose in your case "C:\\Users\Shawn".

In my case I've tried to create a different OneDrive folder with a new local user profile (the one I use is a Windows profile) and in that case I see "OneDrive - MyCompanyName" instead of "John - MyCompanyName" and this is the behavior I would like to create under my existent Windows profile.

Thank you for any suggestion

Hello
is there someone who knows in which Registry key OneDrive (or Windows Explorer) retrieve the account username, in the example below "John" (C:\\Users\John) to use it in OneDrive cloud name in the left pane of Windows Explorer?

In my case, I want to change the name displayed in the Navigation column to the actual name of the folder. As it is, I have multiple entries just named "Kent-Personal" instead of "Files" or "File Transfers"

Thank you for your answer, I've checked all the registry keys in the post and they're all correct, the Display Name value is "One Drive - Company Name" as desired.
I've already changed One Drive location outside C://Users/John, but in the left pane of Explorer I still see "John - Company Name" instead of "One Drive - Company Name".
As I said before if I set OneDrive under a new local user profile I see the desired folder name "OneDrive - Company Name" instead of "John - Company Name" and this is the behavior I would like to have under my existent Windows profile.

Anyone knows where Windows Explorer / One Drive picks the first part of the folder name displayed?
Regards
