Solved Changing Installation User name

When I bring up a cmd (Windows Command Processor) window it shows:
C:\Users\JoeBlow
I suspect it is because the person who installed Win 11 on it used his Microsoft Account when setting it up. Is there any way I can change that to another account that has full Admin privileges?

I was hoping that when I logged in using my account it would say C:\users\zeek, but it doesn't.

I would appreciate any help with this.

You’d be well served to run a full image backup just in case anything goes wrong. I’ve done this successfully several times but on my first try I made a mistake and it was nice to be able to undo everything with a quick image restore. Nothing beats peace of mind when doing something new for the first time.

I agree. Once I get all of my apps installed and running correctly I will do the image backup. I'll also do a reg backup before changing the registry.

You are doing things the wrong way round, you should do the change of user now and install your apps with your new user ID.
This will insure your apps and programs install correctly.
And if you have so little installed, why not create a new user of your choice, make it admin.
Log out/log back in as yourself and delete the silly user JoeBlow.
