@AmericanPharaoh After turning on my Windows 11 computer, I try to rename a folder (right-click) and I can't edit anything. The second time I try to rename the folder, it works and the name changes. Does anyone know why this happens? It always happens after turning on the computer. Does this happen to all users?

Do you have a wireless mouse? Maybe check the batteries.
Do you have a mouse that requires drivers? Check your Services. The mouse driver may be on delayed start.

And here's some other things that you may find useful...

I have a wired mouse, connected to the USB port on the back of the computer.

It does not happen to me. I don't think it ever has.

I try to rename a folder (right-click)
What exactly do you do and what exactly do you see in response?
What makes you think that your right-click is happening on those initial attempts? Perhaps you can feel it 'taking'?

Try some comparison actions, such as
- Another mouse,
- OnScreen Keyboard [OSK.exe], Context menu key
OSK, Context menu key.webp

- use a keyboard to emulate right-click

I try to rename a folder (right-click) and I can't edit anything.

As you've not posted a screenshot (please do!) do you mean...

When you right click the folder, you DO see a context menu and then click Rename and then..

- or something else? E.g. you DON'T see a context menu..

How soon after you log in and see the desktop do you right click the folder?
If you log in, wait 3 mins, does it then work first time?

Having to play guessing games here..

===========================================
To rename something I would left click the name, wait a second, and left click it again.

The name should then be highlighted and editable.
