Any tweak to resolve this issue.

Please advise.

I had the same. Seems to be a Combination of the malware thing running and trying to d/l upates . Went on for several minutes. Same again after restart. After it finally installed the updates, thrashing the disk for quite a while , then the 3rd restart, it now only uses 100% for about a minute or so, then calms down.

It is quite alarming on a mechanical disk. Ssd users might not be aware of it.

Hi,
Go to BIOS screen and move to Main tab, press F9 to set the default values, press F10 to Save & Exit and see whether it helps.

Hi,
You could try the methods in the link and if that doen't help you could try a repair install from the tutorial.

I haven't done it but worth a try, backup your system using Macrium reflect, create a bootable drive with same program, then create a iso image with the tutorial by @Kari and try the repair install.
If you don't want to go through all this, just ignore it and carry on using the PC, it might get resolved with another update.

Hi Brummyfan,

Sure, I would go with what I have for now and wait for next update....

Thank you so much...

One thing to check would be to see if you have OEM-installed / supplied applications that may also be interfering with Windows 11. Being a new OS, not every OEM has updated their apps to work well with Win11, and one or more of them might be continuously running as a service that is trying to do something repeatedly on your system. Seeing as you installed it 4 days ago now, the usual suspects of letting it finish updating and AV scans *should* have completed themselves.

But that leads to a question: Have you left the machine on overnight to see if it just needs continuous free time to finish whatever it may be trying to do?

Also, more information on the machine would help a bit. Specifically manufacturer and hardware.
