I undervolted it pretty much from the beginning. Read lots of articles on the 3080 when I bought it. Found that using MSI Afterburner, i was able to adjust the voltage down a bit and limit my clock frequencies to about 1900Mhz at 875 millivolts. This dropped my card from mid 60's C in Call of Duty to low 50's. So, around 10-12C drop, but more importantly, it dropped my power consumption just about 100 watts. My average FPS didn't hardly move. At stock it would jump up an down a bit as it boosted and dropped, but with this new curve, it stayed within power constraints and never really dropped, so my average FPS was pretty much the exact same.

Mostly followed this video for my settings.

if you tun in around 5:10, you can see it running and what the impact is on temps and FPS and as you will see, pretty much the same as the clock on the undervolt doesn't fluctuate.

It's sizeable, won't fit in my laptop for sure.

Forunately, I have a decent amount of space in my case. And I don't have to worry about RGB ram and this cooler covers up the ram.

Back to 80C+ again even with Ultra Fans setup.... contacted Scan, hopefully they can fix it.

His screen shot is from AIDA64.

And yes he is missing a whole lot more than just case fan readings,

He has either gone into the Preferences and disabled a bunch of things, or there is a decided lack of drivers so that AIDA64 can read everything correctly.

He has either gone into the Preferences and disabled a bunch of things, or there is a decided lack of drivers so that AIDA64 can read everything correctly.

I think thats just aida and not the extreme version, Either that or Hwinfo is also really good.

I'm using AIDA 64 Extreme, I think I'm using the default preferences, I changed nothing.

That's a stress test. Ofc the temps will be high.
If you notice the "average" column still says 59C

Here's mine. And this is a 65W CPU with a 12,000 BTU air conditioner about 2 foot away.

Run the Stability Test for 5 minutes, then post a screenshot.

When I contacted scan they told me to only look at the CPU and the CPU Diode and package is not important even though its higher than the CPU.

Is it possible if the OP hasn't already done so open the view of Aida64 shown in the screen capture below?
It is the Sensor view as shown. It gives a lot more information than the Stability Stress Test view shown to us so far.

And post the screen capture for people to look at.

You should include "Stress FPU" also, when you run the Stability test. Stressing the FPU will raise the temp even more.
Anyway... I would probably redo the the thermal compound with this stuff...

Yeah the 3700x is not a 65w cpu, Maybe under a small load, Under load its around 140-200 according to amd and any bench i've seen on it. So not sure where you got 65w from. It should also sit at less than 65w when idle, like mine for example is sitting here at 20w and its known to be a heat/power lover

The 3700X is "rated" at 65W TDP. The OP's 5950X is "rated" at 105W TDP.
The 5950X is a hotter running CPU. it's not rocket science.
