Dead Bluetooth??

At least a year ago I successfully added a BT headset which now has suddenly died. It was not working so I disconnected it -- then I go to "add device" and the device does not show up. It is charged. I do not know what else to do. Can someone give a hand...thanks.

I think they were but don't know now. They are in their case - next to each other (a lovely pair) -- perhaps they got turned off - thanks for the clue - I will chase that. I'll be back if not.

Try pairing it with a cellphone or some other bluetooth enabled device to see if it is the headset or the computer.

I have to put my Bluetooth headset in pairing mode before my computer can scan for it and pair. Sometimes days later after it was paired to the computer it won't connect again. To get it working again I have to unpair it and pair it again.

Different devices have various ways to pair themselves. My Bluetooth headset required me to hold down the power switch until the LED starts rapidly flashing. After it pairs with the computer the flashing slows down.
