Is it Adobe Acrobat Reader [free] or Adobe Acrobat [expensive]? I'm using Adobe Acrobat 9 [yeah, older] and not seeing the issue.

With FF not an issue -- it handles pdf files without a problem (at least for reading and printing). From websites etcjust use the standard Ms print function print to pdf and then open in the browser. No need for acrobat etc if you just want to read and print pdf files.

Windows 10 is well known for resetting apps which the user has set by default.

In my case of setting up SwifDoo PDF over Chrome as the default PDF viewer, changing the file association is of a great help.

If the issue persists, you can follow the guide help for change the default file association in Windows to open all files of a specific type or extension with the same program.

Exactly.

The only negative point is the stupid browser icon you see in Explorer instead of a proper PDF file image.

If you want to fix this, check out my post :
