Experimenting with the drivers didn't work. I've had problems with this laptop before with the GPU cable working loose causing a poor connection. The test is to use a HDMI cable and connect to a monitor. If the monitor shows a display and the PC doesn't then that could be the problem. Unfortunately I need to completely disassemble the Dell laptop to refix the GPU cable! This has been happening to my systems for a while. I have updated drivers many times. That being said, I have noticed that it happens at a much lower rate if I just open the lid to start my pc. If I had it open and hit the power button to start, it happens much more.
