Solved Despite my efforts, I am unable to format USB 28gb


Even if you are able to finally format it, I wouldn't trust it anymore. If any old drive is acting like that, you have to let it go. Thumb drives are cheap these days. Specially during this holiday season.

I would suggest running a "fake drive" test on this drive to be sure that the values it reports for available space are accurate.
