I didn't misunderstand it. I think it's great. I was just hoping to clean up a lot of old clutter. Patch Cleaner is good for removing clutter from older versions of Windows. But your batch file is definitely good for getting rid of the files that constantly get created and not deleted. I'm going to run it tomorrow in safe mode.Edge also creates a ton of .old files. Did you notice them?
I always run my batch file from a desktop shortcut, in which I specify that I want the batch file run with "Administrative Privileges".
I don't know if that's absolutely necessary, but it seems to "Work for me.".
