DLL issues

Hello

Several games that i have installed recently don't work. They give errors of several dlls missing.
I have reinstalled all the redistributables, .net packs and directx packs that i could get from the official microsoft source.
When i checked the windows folder, lo and behold, the files are there.
I have tried reregistering them in cmd with admin and it just gives the error that the files dont exist.
Older installed games do work.
Is there something to be done or is nuking the installation the only way to go?

Just a thought, while looking for the .dll files did you check they are not Hidden? Right-click each and Properties.

It might help to list the missing DLLs.

I haven't had to do it recently, but in the past, I ran the standalone DX9 installer to supply the old, missing DLLs.

I'd hope that newer games would take care of those details without your assistance, though.

One game says its missing: msvcr100, msvcp100, mfc100. Again these files do exist in system32
Other games give other errors that arent as explicit

Some old games need patches to run on modern hardware.
For example I have Doom and Doom II with all the extra stuff... running on Win 11.
But I needed some patche(s).

Same with 4x4 Evolution (off road racing)
Microsoft Links 2003 (golf).. needed patches.

Im still getting this error: 0xc000007b
It seems its also related to dlls
I have installed all the packs that Ghot said and tried a few more things
