if i can figure out a way to upload the iso file i will upload the iso file that worked for me yesterday.
can someone make a few suggestions on what to use other than google drive. i have never used a uploading service to do this .

Not really a safe practice. You never know what someone might inject into an IOS. At your own risk. There are plenty of suggestions on how to DIY and people to help. It’s been explained ad nauseam. Also, if @Bree is correct and Microsoft nipped it at the bud, no ISO will compensate because it is within the extra files downloaded during install/upgrade that made the 23H2 version.

I'm going to try Scott's method this morning. If I still get 22H2, then it appears the back door has been closed and will have to wait until the ISO for 23H2 is published.

No dice. I used Winrar and replaced the appraiserre.dll with a blank file. Started the setup.exe and it went through all the steps, even updated my nVidia graphics driver, but the version is still 22H2. Will have to wait for the ISO that has 23H2 in it I suppose.

It's a shame because 11 runs fabulously on my 10 year old Asus UX51VZA. Hopefully will still be able to update with the new ISO.

Was just a matter of time. I managed to get it on all 3 of my computers, and of course each has a backup of 22H2. I'm curious as to what will happen on "patch Tuesday".

I just saw your question to me and it looks like you were able to mount the ISO that you had downloaded, and even attempted to replace the appraiseres.dll but weren't able to copy over the file, and, as others suspect, MS closed the door.

Hopefully MS will release 23H2 soon.

dam that stinks . i wonder if you had just tried it with some charcaters like i did . if i would have worked . just amazed that in less than 24 hours ms did that . but hey does anything the do make sense . i might try my iso i made on the wifes desktop just for kicks lol

Why is it a shame? You can still run Eleven on 22H2. 23H2 will come out when it’s cooked and ready to eat.

It was a lot longer than 24 hours. @Bee posted on it here at least as far back as the 12th of Oct. News of it started surfacing around the net at least on the 9th of Oct (if you look at the first post and follow the link and read toward the bottom). And I updated a couple of days ago… so for over a week, at the least, this was available.

Adding characters to the appraiserres.dlll file made no difference. I upgraded to 23H2 with an empty replaced appraiserres.dll

Absolutely, yes, that is the one I replaced. My assumption is that when the official ISO comes out will then be able to upgrade with the replacement file trick.

I saw another thread that 23H2 ISO was live today. I downloaded as an ISO, replaced the appraiserres file and have 23H2!
