the system specs showed that the beelink mini pc has 16GB of DDR4-2400 RAM, but looking at CPU-Z, I see that it's actually DDR4-2667. Cpu is 8th Gen Core i5-8279u

What is confusing for me is that the DRAM frequency seems to be fluctuating between 665 and 1200Mhz on this tab

You need to look in the BIOS. If all the RAM settings (freq, timing, voltage), are set to Auto...it will fluctuate like that.

I have 16GB (2x8GB) of 3200Mhz RAM. All is manually set in the BIOS. Nothing on this CPU-Z tab fluctuates for me...

Manufacturer's specs...

DRAM frequency is set to 3200Mhz (up from Auto default 2133Mhz)
DRAM voltage is set to 1.350v (up from Auto default 1.2v)

By default, the DRAM frequency, timings and voltage were all set to Auto.
Leaving all the DRAM settings on Auto is standard operating procedure for BIOS settings.
In almost all cases, putting the DRAM settings to manufacturer's specs, results is more stable operation.

Whether or not this is even advisable, in a miniPC, is anyone's guess. I believe you already know the other miniPC person on Ten Forums, (The Pool Man). I would think he would be the one to ask.

What I've done on my box, is pretty much standard ops for a desktop PC.
Choosing XMP, or DOCP or manually setting RAM freq., timings, voltage, works well on desktops, for the simple reason that desktop PCs have much better cooling.

Ah,okay. Fluctuations are fine then. My BIOS options are somewhat limited with this little miniPC. I'm used to by Ryzens just staying locked right at 1800Mhz.

The only thing I seem to be able to set memory wise in the BIOS is the max speed of the memory. it says that the ratios and such are all defined in the overclock menu, but the overclock menu is all greyed out...so I think I have limited ability to adjust it.

I'd imagine, that on a miniPC, things are already set for optimum operation.
With minimum space your options will most probably be limited, for various reasons.

Yeah, the mini pc seems mostly fine. Getting some GSOD's a bit on the DEV insider release, but they may just be the Insider release rather than the box itself.

Aside from that, it's running great.
