Hi
I got an iMac 27 2019, under Sequoia, at beginning, I did 3 partitions, 1 for mac, 1 for windows (exfat) and 1 for data (exfat). After I installed windows 11 I can't see the drive D, I have to add manually the letter D but, everytime I restart I loose the letter, someone can help me?

Not sure, could just be a conflict with Mac OS partitions

Check Disk Management
  • Press `Win + X` and select Disk Management.
  • Locate your data partition and see if it appears without a drive letter.
  • Right-click it, select Change Drive Letter and Paths, then Assign D :.

Ensure the Partition is Set as Permanent
  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator (`Win + X` → Command Prompt (Admin) ).
  • Type each line below and press enter
  • Remember, replace X after “Select Volume” with the Data partition number of the USB

diskpart
list volume
select volume X (Replace X with your data partition number)
assign letter=D
exit

  • Close the command window.
  • Reboot, see if D sticks

Does it stick if you assign a different drive letter to it, like E, F or G etc

I can only guess that the MacOS is preventing you from assigning that Drive Letter at boot.

Google “What would MacOS be interfering with to prevent a windows drive letter assignment?”
Pick any reason.

if it is macos preventing it (idk offhand as i havent researched it and never had that issue on my intel dual boot mbp)... you could just write a .bat to assign the drive letter and make it run at logon
