Hi,

You have an ASUS ROG SS3|DTS Sound Unbound motherboard with ALC40xx codec, so :

You need Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS3-DTS) from the first post of this thread.

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hi,

Thanks for the great work with the drivers! If for some reason you stop updating, can we just use the drivers from Asus site directly or do we have to uninstall these drivers first?

Hi,

I only offer OEM original drivers, WHQL signed by Microsoft, so my audio drivers packages can update or be updated by the audio drivers packages from your motherboard support page.

If I told to new people on my audio drivers threads to follow their CLEANUP process then their INSTALL process, it is in order to start from a clean base (I don't know what kind of audio drivers they tried previously, WHQL or not, before coming to my audio drivers threads).

Hello MoKiChU,

After reading this thread I am uncertain what to do, which way to follow.
I have a ASUS Z790-A WIFI motherboard.
The "only" issue I really have problems with, is the low microphone volume.

What strategy should I follow?

Thank for your work in this jungle of drivers :-)

Recently I had the similar issue after connecting MS USB HD camera with mic, had to disable all other micks in hardware and reinstall properly drivers.

Hi,

You are in the wrong thread.

You have an ASUS PRIME DTS:X Ultra motherboard, so :

You need Realtek Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS TUF/PRIME DTSX Ultra) from the first post of this thread : [DRIVERS] Realtek Audio (AMD 3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx & Intel 2xx/3xx/4xx/5xx/6xx/7xx).

Follow scrupulously your CLEANUP process then your INSTALL process, for the next drivers packages that I would release, you will can directly follow your UPDATE process.

Hope this isn't a terrible question or one that's been asked too many times. What would the differences between just installing the drivers from my mobo's manufacturer's page as opposed to following your guide and using your drivers. I have a B650E-F and don't seem to have any issues other than when I change the "Amplify Level" setting under either Speakers or headphones, it' always resets to Extreme, even tho it reads as another setting. I'm wondering if your drivers might resolve this issue? Thanks in advance for any info or help, much appreciated!

Hi everyone,

@ ASUS ROG SS|DTS Sound Unbound motherboards (ROG Strix Z790-A/E/F Gaming WiFi II, ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero/Apex Encore/Formula or more recent) users :

You can only use/install Realtek USB Audio Drivers (UAD - ASUS ROG SS-DTS) from the first post of this thread.
