Solved Drives, partition, folders query?

That's what checkpoints are for. Takes literally 2s to restore to previous state. And you can't screw them up because they're differential changes to the VM storage, unless you go fiddle with the physical VM files on your host.

I use VMs all the time when I'm a bit uncertain what will happen if I do an unknown modification or tweak to a system or install some less known app.

I also always use VMs while developing and testing apps or whole systems of apps, to ensure a clean OS state.
You know your way around computers and the risk of you messing up the OS and having to start over again is minimal. Alexey2912 is trying to learn about computers and as beginners do, has made mistakes and has had to start over a few times. He works in the medical field and I'm sure he depends on his computer for work. Because I feel that his laptop is a very important part of his job, I truly believe that a cheap laptop would be better to play around on. It's up to Alexey2912 to decide what he wants to do, and I will continue to help him whenever I can. I think it's time for us to agree that on this subject, we disagree and move on.
