If you've got your heart set on a DAC, do your homework first!
They're not cheap and there a lot of variables in order to be impressed with audio quality!

Yeah, best to turn the speakers off when inserting the cable as you are probably grounding it out as it goes in.

1. Correct......RCA LR on one side and the other to insert in a laptop, phone, head phone.
2. What do you recommend attaching Edifier via BT or wired?
3. Correct again, I found the light turning on of as I moved the plug inlet and found it a bit loose, got an extension to get it tightly stucked.
4. It sparked a bit when I moved, correct it was getting grounded.
