Event ID Error 1022 - .NET Runtime


Hello,

I am experiencing the exact same issue in Event Viewer since today. I have Windows 11 Pro 26100.4946 (KB5063878 update installed yesterday)

Adobe Acrobat and Office 2021 are also installed on my computer.

I hope this won't affect the stability of the system. I haven't noticed anything so far.

Given the number of people who have the same problem, has anyone reported this to Microsoft so that they can patch this error ?

Same error message today. Problem not fixed :

I did not.

What seems to trigger this most of the time for me is opening and closing Outlook 2024 (Office 2024 version).

Still get this error all the time.

The trigger seems to be receiving new messages in Outlook with with documents attached. The error seems to be cosmetic, so far as I can see.

hello,

strange , i tried to send and open mails with attachments , closing office apps etc, i cannot trigger it to capture with procmon :(
i will try some other things maybe pdfs onedrive etc
we are using m365 not local office

The problem persists here with version 25H2.

The error occurs with Outlook and sometimes when opening folders containing Word/PDF files.

I'm another victim.
I think the issue first appeared when I migrated from Office 2016 to Office 2024 a few weeks ago.
Here's a scenario I can replicate 100% time:
  • Start Outlook desktop
  • New message
  • Attach a pdf file and save as draft. No new entry in event viewer
  • Attach an xlsx file and save as draft. No new entry in event viewer
  • Attach a docx file and save as draft. New entry in event viewer related to event 1022 .NET Runtime and SearchFilterHost.exe
Looks like the Office Open XML Format Word Filter is buggy.
(my Windows 11 25H2 and Office 2024 are both up to date)
