I have a Scandisk SSD external drive for backups. I have recently changed router from BT to EE, and now when the drive is plugged into the router it isn't recognised. It is fine if plugged into PC. It was fine working on network before the router change.
I changed all the passwords etc on EE router to those of the BT one, so everything worked fine with no intervention. It is just this drive that doesn't work.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I assume you have studied the new router's manual, logged in the new router's admin and checked all relevant router settings.
Perhaps, but I can only speculate, the new router's USB connection exists but has not been implemented. If its manual does not clarify matters I suggest you contact EE support.

All the best,
Denis

I presume you mean a USB drive.
It appears that the USB port has been downgraded to power only, not for data...

Thanks for that. It definitely seems that the USB is not intended to work. Can't see why they disabled it. Never had any problems with the old BT one.
