Fading tray icons

A few of my tray icons fade in color after a few days of disuse. For example, ShareX and SyMenu...

Then, after using the app, the tray icon appearance returns to normal...

Why is this? Is there a setting to prevent this/?

Those are your system tray icons. What about the icons pinned to the taskbar? Are they faded? It's hard to tell but that looks like a graphic issue. In device manager is your graphics driver installed?

All graphics drivers are updated. This only affects some icons, not others...

System? These are applications I've installed. They are not system apps.

The System Tray has nothing to do with it being a 'system app', it's just the location and can be installed apps.

Looks as if some apps are going into a suspended state!

Could it have anything to do with the SyMenu application?

Maybe. But I see not option for that under Windows 11 settings. And on my Win 10 system this does not happen.

Can you point me where to see this setting for suspension? Thanks!
