The file explorer ribbon weirdly reverts back to the old legacy UI, though I'm currently running build version 22000.527Capture d’écran 2022-02-26 161741.png

There's two registry patches.
They will allow you to switch back and forth between Win 10 ribbon bar, and Win 11 ribbon bar.

I appreciate your help, but I don't want to restore the classic File Explorer ribbon, I just posted this whole thing in order to know whether anyone faces the same problem.

Go to that tutorial, and get the registry patch that will set the ribbon bar to the Windows 11 version.
Something probably glitched, and that registry patch will probably fix it.

If it doesn't fix it, or it doesn't "stay" fixed, then post back here.

The registry patch is just the easiest first thing to try. It will set the registry as it should be, for the Win 11 File Explorer ribbon bar.

Just follow the directions starting with step #3, here...

Also you could run the system file checker.

Now do as @Fabler2 mentioned. Open a command prompt as Admin, and run sfc /scannow

The reg patch solved the problem. SFC will see if there's an underlying cause.
If SFC doesn't find any problems, then it was probably a one-time glitch.

Windows 11 is still pretty new. It's like a toddler learning to walk. It falls down a lot. :)
