@zbook How about the Intel GPU driver you mentioned in post #39? I don't see any 'GPU' or 'Iris Xe' or similar listed on that Acer download page.

@zbook Do I just install the GPU and IRST over the existing driver, or do I need to uninstall the existing from device manager first (and maybe reboot?), and then reinstall?

The existing are already the same versions, 32.0.101.5768 & 19.5.1.1040, respectively.

Please install these GPU, IRST and chipset drivers over the existing drivers.

This method typically replaces the misbehaving driver with the new driver.

If there are recurrent BSODs then they can be manually uninstalled and reinstalled:

Okay, thanks.

For the Intel GPU driver, should I check the box that says 'Execute a clean installation'?

@zbook When I ran the setup for the Intel GPU driver, it just installed through a cmd window (same with the chipset and IRST drivers), and that's it. I didn't get the Intel Graphics Driver Installer GUI, so no opportunity to select any options like a clean installation.

@zbook Just wanted to let you know I've started WDV again. With all tests except 'randomized low resources simulation' selected, and all non-MS drivers. Fingers crossed it makes it to 48 hours this time.

So, when I ran WDV again (as mentioned in post #51) after reinstalling those three drivers, the computer froze again.

But then something clicked in my head, and I decided to run WDV once again, but I did something different this time.

You see, in my previous WDV runs, I would close the lid of the laptop while it was running, and when I would open the lid to check that's when the computer would freeze up.

However, this time I decided to keep the lid open. And this time, WDV made it to 48 hours. I ran V2 (with WDV still running) and the wevtutil commands and uploaded to OneDrive.

Is the laptop always using only its monitor?

Indicate if there is or is not an external monitor.

1) Make sure that WDV is off

2) Choose one of the temperature monitoring software applications: Speed fan, Speecy, HW monitor:

SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer: SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
