Yes, they are. You are using Windows and NTFS is the most common disk formatting method.
The only time you will need Fat32 for routine use is when making Windows installation USBs. Many computers can only boot from Fat32 USBs.

If your Flash drive is Formatted FAT32, it will NOT accept files that are larger then 4Gb. exFAT and NTFS do not have this file size limitation

It doesn't matter if a video file is PAL or NTSC as far as copying the file to another drive is concerned. The Video format will only come into play when you are playing the file.
Video DVD Regions also have nothing to do with FAT32/exFAT or NTFS. Once a Video file is ripped from a DVD it will no longer have a Region Code on the video file and will play on any drive no matter what the File Format (ie) FAT32 etc, that the drive format is.

I guess I'm kind of a nube, because I've only been at this stuff for 40+ years, and in that time I've never used exFAT for anything, anytime, or anywhere. Before NTFS I did use FAT32.

Rude awakening!!! I didn't realize that in the EU drives are formatted differently. WTF? What about people who travel to the EU with their laptops, all formatted NTFS? Do they just stop working?

I stopped using this thread but my pc and files aren't made for NFTS format. I'm in europe where most files can only be read in FAT32/Exfat because of region locks.

I totally understand what you are saying, but there are no Region Lock Limitations in Europe for NTFS. FAT32, or exFAT for that matter.
