I asked because I disable Delivery Optimization in reg (Start-4) and
after a shut down and cold start, it will re-enable the damn thing.
Not always but, most times.

You want to strip out features? Then don't cry when something comes up that relies on such service. It's better to just control your Autistic/OCD behavior and disable the services instead.

I don't have these services not starting, only an error appears in the system log
"The server Windows.Gaming.GameBar.PresenceServer.Internal.PresenceWriter did not register with DCOM within the required timeout"
Interestingly this is not the case for all games, for example "Prey" is an exception.
I have not studied this issue.
Not clear: why nail rather than use screws.

Those 0 means it's ON, the 2 means OFF.
That's for full screen optimization in games and apps which, I don't think has much to do with
disabling xBox.
You can test this option in games and apps as well by right clicking the game's or apps .exe and choosing
properties / compatibility and check / uncheck full screen optimization to see if it yields
any results good or bad.

But you're right about CCleaner... it's not in there.
I believe I have removed all the Windows Apps that you can remove without hurting anything.
It's been almost three years... and everything works fine.
So... you probably shouldn't mess with the things I didn't remove (on the right side of the pic).
Well, Paint 3D is optional, but it is a handy little App for creating 3D images.
And... when you uninstall something with REVO... make sure to also run the "scan for leftovers".
gaming is not on that tab. There WAS an xbox identity that I missed. gaming is still running

It shows up in task manager and it's called Gaming Services. When you to go to Uninstall programs it's in there and it's called Gaming Services

Well, I used REVO to uninstall all the Xbox things, and I have no "Gaming Services" in Task Manager, or anywhere else.
Actually, any game could be responsible for that, especially online games.
I do have GamingInput Service... in Services, but that's for things like controllers, joysticks... etc.
I only have some 3rd party "old" games installed... and none of those create "Gaming Services" in Task Manager.

there are no games on here afaik. no one plays any kind of game, online or local. So GS is running, accessing the network. it's in task manager and back in add/remove programs even though I just uninstalled it again.

A quick Google says gamingservices.exe is part of all that Xbox junk.
Uninstall all this (in the RED box), and it should go away...
Uninstall them one at a time, and when REVO offers... do the "scan for leftovers", for each one.
When they are all uninstalled... reboot the computer.
Then... gamingservices.exe will be gone.
You may need to do this too... (I disabled this a long time ago)
