I have a strange problem and I am not sure if it's the drivers/monitor/gpu or something else

It happens rarely but I have no idea why
I have my laptop connected to my monitor using hdmi, the projector mode is set to make only the monitor screen active but sometimes, the monitor gets "disconnected" and the laptop screen turns on(there is no problem with the cable and noting is moving,it can work for days without any problems)

When I check the display settings,windows\the gpu don't see the monitor and the fix is so weird

The monitor is actually a tv that can also be used as a monitor(Samsung TD390)and to fix the problem is to turn off the monitor from the remote and when I turn it on,the laptop screen turns off and the signal is sended to the monitor

There is nothing in the event viewer
I have the latest nvidia drivers installed and the latest windows updates
There is no error reported when scanning windows problems using the usual commands in cmd

I really don't understand this, this happens only while playing one game.
I run the game and after a log in,after few seconds 30-60 without doing anything, the laptop screen will run on and the monitor will loose connection(the laptop will also not see the monitor)

If I turn off the monitor, the laptop screen will turn off and when I turn on the monitor, the signal will be send there

If I do it in another way
1.Keep the laptop screen off
2.Start the game and log in
3.I turn off the monitor for around a minute and I see that the laptop screen does not turn on
4.The moment I turn on the monitor,it instantly looses connection and the laptop screen turns on
5.When I turn off the monitor, the laptop screen turns off and when I turn on the monitor, the signal is sended to it

This happens only once after starting the game and does not ever happen again until I exit and start the game again

I also tried running the projector in Extended mode but for some reason, everything works fine in this mode but I don't want to keep the laptop screen on

What other thing I have notice is that if I connect the monitor to the vga port(hdmi from the laptop and using adapter from hdmi to vga),then I also don't have problems but I don't like picture quality

There is no sleep timers or auto power off on the monitor enabled
I can just turn it on,run the game instantly and I will get the problem

Just use Display Driver Uninstaller DDU v18.1.4.0 and remove your latest Nvidia Drivers as every every v591.xx have been a mess with Monitors and TV's and install v581.94 Drivers (I only install the Video Drivers and PhysX Drivers)
That should sort your issue out.
Good Luck

Bummer. Actually the one I'm still on is Nvidia GeForce v566.36 and I'm not budging as everything works that I use.
Maybe give this one a try?

GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 581.94 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 581.80.

The thing is,I did not had this problem before with this game, before they update the game(major version update)
It's weird that it happens only under certain condition and when it happens,it does not happen again until I restart the game

Oh. If that's the case it sounds like the games update has changed something that either Windows or Nvidia doesn't like.
My only suggestion if you can undo the update of the game if possible or wait for either another newer update of the game or wait for a newer Nvidia driver update.
Have you been on any of the forums for that particular game to see if any other people are having the similar issue?

It's an online game so I cannot downgrade(Duet Night Abyss)
I did post a bug report but I didn't get much help(I am not sure how many people will use a laptop connected to a monitor to experience this problem)

If you disconnect the external monitor and just use the laptop screen does the game work ok?
It sounds like what other people have had on the Nvidia Forum with quiet a few different games with issues with their monitors with Nvidia Drivers and Windows 11 25H2
Have a read.

There is no problems with the game if the projector mode is in extended or duplicate mode but in extended mode if I set the monitor as the primary display even if the laptop screen is still on,the monitor will turn off again
If I set the projector to extended mode and and keep the laptop screen as primary but move the game window to the monitor and then log in,then I will get that problem

I was on 591.59 before downgrading but I didn't tried the hotfix because I read some comments in the nvidia forum about massive speed drops on pcsx2 with it
