Solved Has Microsoft stopped product activation by phone ??

I have read somewhere that we are no longer able to activate Windows or other Microsoft products by phone.
Instead, we must go to the web site 'aka.ms/aoh' to activate products. I have visited this site and this is the web page I encountered.
I haven't gone any further than this as I did not have anything to activate at the moment. Is anybody aware of this ?

Yes, it was reported a few months back and made effective last month, or so.

I don't think MS making this change to the activation of Windows is a big deal. I own licenses to heaps of other apps and a few games and cannot think of any other software developer/vendor that I deal with who uses the phone as a primary method of activation.
