Hasleo Backup Suite

When I started to use Hasleo, the backup took 15 secs on 20GB partition.
Then it gradually kept getting slower, it is more than a minute for 29GB.
Surpassingly, when I set max priority, it gets slower. No compression.

I've been using Hasleo for my video controller mini computer, it does it's automated backups just fine. I really don't care if it takes a bit longer, it was free and appears to make good backups.

Have you tested your backups , by replacing your OS with a backup.....................??! ;-)
Its the best way for testing backup-software !

provided you have also made a backup with a different tool as well😁.

I guess the best practice would be to have a spare drive, recover the backup image to the spare drive and see if it boots just fine?

Seems like the least risky path

I've restored from my backup a couple of times already. Hasleo is my current backup solution.

Easier to use a virtual hard drive.

Ive never done that so it would take me longer to learn how but might be worth the education but I also forget new thing more now.

I did a backup with Acronis to a USB drive, then restored the Hasleo backup image, worked fine. I use Acronis on three of my systems, but I only have a lifetime 3-machine license. So, for the video controller mini, I decided to try Hasleo.

Taking apart the mini computer is somewhat of a PITA, and it also has an NVMe drive. I decided to do it with pieces I have readily available.

(I am adding a custom FreeCommander XE of my choice and making it password protected)

Either change the path the custombackground value is pointing to, OR replace the jpg it is pointing at with your own.
it is in the pe software hive
if you load the hive in a registry editor
give the loaded hive a name e.g. pe-soft
you can see what it is pointing to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\pe-soft\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinPE

here it was pointing at winre.jpg by deafult
so you could just rename your own jpeg picture to winre.jpg and shove it into windows\system32 of the bootable image using 7-zip or similar

depending what pe you are using it might be pointing at winpe.jpg

Alternatively if you are using pecmd.exe you could use the WALL command to point at the image you want

If that is the case, I would like to know which older version has the fastest backup speed and has delta restore as well.
