Phone Hear Audio on PC or Phone in Phone Link app on Windows 11

Also, when I open and app, I keep getting the message "Your android device went to sleep" even though it's not asleep.
It says, "Wake it up by selecting the button below" I click the "Wake Up" button, but it does nothing.

But that's another issue.

Yet another issue. The Music Player notification can't be cleared. "Clear All" is greyed out and below it says, "No new notifications".
I tried restarting Phone Link, but it's still the same.

Yes, I have Link to Windows app installed.

When you launch an app on the phone you can use this setting to determine whether the sound comes out of the Computer or Phone speakers. Did you check this?

Yes, Ed. I have, "Hear audio from" set to "Computer".

It's been a couple months since the last post, but I can't believe how different my install looks from the examples above. I have crappy sound with Phone Link on my pc but I can't get ANY sound from the other apps on the phone to my pc. I don't have the settings available:

You don’t mention what phone it is. Have you done a search on the internet for your phone, is it capable of doing this? Apparently, not all phones are.

It's a Samsung Galaxy S10. I link BT audio to other devices (speakers) with no issues. Connected it to the pc with no issue, but when I go into the BT settings on the phone, the "Calls" is enabled, but the "Audio" is not and I can't turn it on.

I remember this thread here. I have provided you with a link to where they start talking about audio. I can’t say it will help you but maybe worth a read of it. There are most likely other Phonelink Audio threads also.

I realise that you say the phone calls work but app sounds dont. Do you know if your phone is set to be able to run in the background?

Press both the Windows + X keys and select Search to access that tool.
Type Apps & Features inside the search utility’s text box.
Select Apps & features to open Settings’ uninstaller tool.
Then click the three-dot menu button for Phone Link.
Select Advanced options to access the Background apps permissions menu for Phone Link.
Click the Always option on the Background apps permissions drop-down menu.

I can't enable Audio either in the Phone Bluetooth settings but that doesn't affect the ability to redirect sound from the games to the PC. That is controlled in Phone Link.

In Phone Link settings I can still select to Hear audio from Computer.

Before I knew about the audio settings in Phone Link I used the Bluetooth Audio Receiver app I downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Now I no longer need it.

With it I was able to redirect the audio from phone apps to the PC. Below is a screenshot of Bluetooth Audio Receiver connected to my phone. Note to return audio back to the phone I just close the connection.

Hi!
I have been having the same issue. I try to play any audio from my phone on my pc, and it still comes from the speakers of my phone. Did everything this thread suggested, but nothing works but screensharing my phone to my pc, which results in about 10 seconds of delay with terrible and laggy sound. Seems that Bluetooth Audio Receiver is the only option right now to stream phone audio to pc speakers.

This forum and the internet is strewn with Phone Link problems, especially audio ones.
I've sort of given up on Phone Link for now. The only positive thing I can say about it is, it's getting updated regularly. It's probably the most regularly updated app on my computers.

From my research, iPhones don't seem to have as many problems with Phone Link.

I have a Samsung S21 5G with Android 14.

BTW, I just checked my phone a few minutes ago. I can still toggle the phone app audio between Computer and Mobile device just fine.
