How do I move the taskbar from the bottom edge to the left edge?

My setup has an ultrawide monitor and my two monitors are stacked vertically, so I'd like to move that taskbar to the left edge so it's in a vertical orientation and out of the way. Is it possible to do this? It seems to be disabled in settings, and Winaero tweaker doesn't seem to have that setting anymore.

It's not possible to do so natively in the OS.
Others will chime in on third party tools (if any).

You might have to turen off/disable 3rd party Windows configuration software to do this, then turn it/them back on.

You cannot drag the taskbar to any other location. There is a setting in Taskbar settings where you can move it to the top.
As stated, you cannot move the taskbar to the left or right natively.
Winareo Tweaker has this option but it is known to have issues, and would have to be reapplied after each Windows Major update.

Doh!! My bad. It helps if one realises that one is in a Windows 11 forum but on the only device (out of 6 in the household) that's still got Windows 10 on it. Of course that solution worked!!

Maybe the OP could go back to Windows 10 :devilish: (And before anyone jumps on the keyboard ... <JOKE HUMOUR MODE OFF/>

Yup! In Windows 11 sans third party stuff, the only taskbar position is on the bottom. Period. You can, though, position your icons all the way left or center, but that's all you can do.

There's one other thing you can do. You can hide the task bar and eliminate having to look at it entirely. I need the extra vertical screen space for my work, so that's a change I always make. Whenever I need the task bar, I can move the cursor to the bottom of the screen or simply tap the Windows Key.

I know that there are 3rd party apps that can move the taskbar to the top, like Start11. But I’m yet to see any that will allow the old Windows 10 ability to drag it to the left or right of your screen. I have always thought it was a strange, dictatived decision to remove this feature..

I have the hide the task bar setting on as well, but when I tap the Windows Key, the Start Menu appears.
