Solved How do I remove Ticks & Crosses on Google Maps on Android smartphone

See photo. What are these 'white tick in green circle' and 'white cross in pale grey circle' icons and how do I get rid of them?

I have never visited these places. They seem to be random.
I only see these when using Google Maps on my Android smartphone. I do not see them when using Google Maps on my Win 11 devices.
Also they do not appear on Google Maps on my wife's Android smartphone.

Thanks but there are no maps to clear and I am using the Default map type. The ticks and crosses are totally random over the whole UK.

I fixed it. I must have unknowingly 'Explored' 'Odeon Cinemas' at some point. See bottom of 1st photo in post #3 where it shows 'Odeon' and a Pin icon. I tapped on the Pin icon and this cleared the map of ticks and crosses so they were all related to Odeon cinemas in the UK.
