Hi.
I have the Microsoft office and i want to create a new folder to "All aps" menu , that containing all Office programs. How can I do that ? I added the folder to "C: \ ProgramData \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Start Menu \ Programs" but it did not work.

Did you put something in the folder? I think an empty folder will not show.

Ok I just did it with C: \ ProgramData \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Start Menu \ Programs
But I needed to restart explorer to get it to work

If you haven't already, double check the tutorial below on this for Windows 10 to see if it may still work for you in Windows 11.

It still worked for me, but you do need to have at least two shortcuts in the folder for it to show up.

So the mystery was solved !!!!!!
If I already have a shortcut in "All apps" eg Outlook, it does not appear in the new folder I am creating. I need to delete/move the shortcut from "All apps" and have it only in my own folder.:party:

I had to have at least one shortcut in the folder not already on the All Apps list for the folder to show up, but was able to have shortcuts in the folder already on the All Apps list.

Finally the right path is "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Myfolder". :)

I dont see the path that i used (("C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Myfolder") , at tutorial.:eyeroll:

No worries. I just updated option 1 to make it easier to use for current user or a specific user.

That's if you want the folder/program icon visible to yourself only when logged on. Other users who log on won't see it.

if you want a program icon that's visible to all/every user that logs on, the the path is C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
