Big thanks to @dacrone for this registry hack.

Open regedit and go to:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell\Update\Packages]

Find or create a DWORD UndockingDisabled, set value to 1

Restart the explorer.
The only cons is it also removed the new style ribbon from file explorer windows.

Windows Build/Version
Windows 11 Build 22000.65

But in my testing, this also brings back the old taskbar, which has some issues in that it has a search box that does nothing when you click on it, and a Taskview button that crashes when I click it.

Does this work if you don't install a third-party Start menu? When I click the Start button it shows by default, nothing happens. This only works if I install a program like Start10 or Open-Shell that puts its own button over default one.

For safer steps, check this:
Replace Explorer

Then install StartIsBack++
Then apply the registry

After the last update (22000.71), my Windows still runs smoothly, all the hacks untouched.

I am using Open Shell 4.4.169. It works great in 11 but is not necessary as it was in 10. I still use it for the transparent Taskbar.

latest update of what?
Win11. I tried on a new install on another PC without any hack. The Taskbar and Start Menu is "half" translucent.
