How to fix Windows Event41 with multiple video bug codes?

So if I play a game like R6 or Minecraft, I won't have any problems, but if I play something like Battlefield 1 or Warzone, my computer will randomly stop displaying and restart. How do I fix this? I also found several error codes from the live kernel dumps. If you scroll to the bottom of a kernel dump then it says "FriendlyEventName=Hardware error." and also "ReportDescription=A problem with your hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly." My PC is like 1 week old and I can still return everything

@zbook what would you recommend doing?

I've used DDU to uninstall and reinstall drivers
Updated BIOS
Switched PCIE slots to confirm it's.not a PCIE bus problem
Ran memtest64 which came up with 0 errors

The only other thing I can think of is to use older AMD drivers.

@zbook is our resident bsod guy so my opinion is not worth much here since I know zilch about reading log files, but I totally agree with trying an older driver can't hurt. I would use DDU in safe mode again, Check the boxes to remove both the driver and the software. Restart and try an older driver and software package to see if you can get stable.

I would be questioning the choice of GPU after I did a web search of RX 7600 instability and found so many reports of crashes and other problems reported by others.

I also question why there have been 7 driver updates for that GPU in 2024 and 16 more updates during 2023, That's a ton of driver updates. I would also question whether or not I want that particular GPU in my system if ATI can't develop stable drivers for it.

I also have a question. Did you stress test that GPU when you installed it?
If not you can use Furmark. Be sure to monitor its temps during testing.

Yea the GPU never got above 75C with furmark. Also the GPU was an rx 6800

Sorry about that. Disregard what I said. I was going by what is in your specs which say Radeon RX7600. Either way, trying an older driver still makes sense to me.

I see you had another thread that was closed where @zbook also said it indicated a GPU issue.
Hopefully he will get with you soon in this thread with his suggestions.

I rolled back to 24.6.1 and it still crashes. What is the most stable driver version that I should roll back to?

Unless someone here has that same GPU and can tell you, I'm sorry I would not know. Keep in mind if the GPU is flakey, no number of different driver versions will make a difference..

I did and it never shut off. I just got a new power supply (BeQuiet 1000W M12) and I was able to run Warzone for 3 hours with no crashes. I'll let you know if it crashes again but so far I believe the cause might have been an underpowered/faulty PSU. I was previously using a RM750e

Would getting another rx6800 work? I ordered a return on my current one and got a new one

See my additions to post #13 (I type slowly) :-)

I'm an Nvidia fan. They just seem to work better and have less issues.
You can get AMD cards working fine... but they can be twitchy.

From the problems I've seen others have with AMD cards... it was usually a driver issue.

Two things I learned while on Win10/11...

1. Always do the block drivers included in Windows Updates tutorial.
2. Always use DDU when uninstalling a vid card driver. Always remove and install vid card drivers... manually.

A squeaky clean vid card driver is a must. ^^

DDU Instructions - AMD
1. Get this program, here: Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) | Wagnardsoft ...get the latest version, and save it to your desktop.
2. Get your vid card driver here, use the Manual Search: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download ...save this to your desktop. Getting the vid card drivers here, is even better. Especially if you're looking for older drivers.
Unhook the internet completely.
3. Reboot into Safe Mode and run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) choose the "Highly Recommend Option", and just do what it tells you.
4. After it's done, reboot to normal mode, then just double click the AMD driver to install. If it want's to reboot, let it.
Rehook the internet.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
Just had 2 crashes. I used OCCT and it detected no errors. I legit have no idea what is wrong
My crashes stemmed from faulty CPU this was when I was playing MWIII, I had a i9-14900KF, ran an OCCT and had few errors. I did an RMA and got a new i9-14900KF. No more crashes. My crashes were different though, only the game crashed but not the whole system.

If my new RX6800 doesn't work, I'll try a Nvidia GPU since that's what I had on a laptop before I had this computer and it never gave me any issues. The problem is that the 4070 is a bit out of my price range. Would a 3060 like this be any good? RTX 3060. I'm okay with going down to 12 GB of Vram if I can save the money. I'm gaming on a 2k 144hz monitor anyways so 4k gaming is out of the question.

I returned my current RX6800 and got a new one. Hopefully after I install it everything will be ok

I did the block updates. Would an Nvidia rtx 3060 be a good choice if the other rx6800 doesn't work? Also, would it be compatible with a ASrock b650m pro RS wifi mobo?
