I get this irritating Location icon on my task bar every time I reboot - it goes away after a few seconds, but I cannot find a way to disable it, other than disabling location services. Any ideas?

It comes up here if I run the desktop version of Ookla Speedtest, pure guess but you have something in your start up that's looking for your location?

Yeah - could be. I have disabled all the unnecessary start apps from Task Manager, but when I looked in Task Scheduler, there was a lot of garbage e.g. check for updates triggered at logon.

Need to test it now.

Thanks for idea regardless if correct or not:-).

Sure, that is what I did to stop it, but @clam1952 seems to have hit nail on head - it was obviously something in my Tsk Scheduler causing it - I have option on again, and the icon has gone away.

I will mark as closed.
