Windows Version 23H2 OS 22631.3235 Has been a Failure to connect to HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color M451dn and HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 277dw
Many times I have contacted Microsoft, Dell, and HP multiple failures since September, sometimes I could not identify via Windows exactly which printers I have, I was suggested I delete buy another. Using IP does not solve issue.
I have a Windows 10 machine connected with cables that does what I want, and I can use both machines via Apple devices (iPhone 11, iPads) and Windows 10 is on a laptop, wired. Both printers worked when I initially did the upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10 (it was eligible)
Can these Failures be explained, solved?

Uninstall all printer software & drivers in Programs & Features in Control Panel. I then remove any residual traces by running printmanagement.msc.
Remove Printer in Windows 11 Tutorial

Then download the latest drivers for your printers from the HP website and reinstall all printers.

Hi y'all.
As a Non Techie (I get by) Laptop user, I recently hit the "Please wait while printer connects" issue...on a W10 Pro Dell XPS L701X i5 M460 2.53GHz 8GB RAM 250GB SSD GT 435M GPU while connected to an Epson WF-2650DWF All in 1, that has been in use for over 10 years... since Windows 8 (currently on both W10 and W11)

Recently, (a couple of weeks ago) I was given an HP inkjet printer, and set it up, but keeping the Epson as the default...until a few moments ago.

Having removed the Epson from my system a few times over the past week or so, I was disappointed to note the issues returned as soon as I'd reinstalled, and reset the Epson as default BUT a few moments ago, I set the HP as the default, and after successfully printing off a document, set about testing the opening of my desktop document shortcuts, and fingers crossed ALL opened at speed, without the PITA notification (y)

Eventually (if/when I can be bothered) I might remove the HP, and reconnect the Epson to the OTHER Laptop (an Asus) in the bedroom, just to "test the waters".

BTW
Both Laptops are connected to large screen TV screens, not that I expect that to have any relevance.
