Solved How to transfer Wordle.

Here is a strange one for this forum. I have Wordle on my Android phone and my wife has Wordle on her phone. I have given my phone to my wife to replace her old phone but she wants to put her Wordle account on what was my phone. I can see no way of getting to account details, hers or mine. Every time I go to the NYTimes/wordle url, it immediately opens my stats.
Does anyone know how to transfer Wordle from one phone to another?

Sorry if this is on the wrong forum but Apps seemed to be the best choice.

As long as you know the email and password your wife uses for Wordle it should be easy.

Phone or PC, this method should work on either. Go to this URL: https://www.nytimes.com/account where you'll be able to see details of the account you are currently using, and be able to sign out (click on your name at the top right).



Now go to the Wordle URL where you'll now be able to sign in with your wife's account, this is what I see in Firefox on my PC after I signed out.

Before NYT bought Wordle, I had saved its web page as 'complete. I can now put the folder and htm link on any computer. This won't help the OP but here's a Drive link Wordle - A daily word game_files.zip

The daily 'word' will not be the same as on the NYT site.

Thanks but that did not do it. It brought up incorrect stats on the new phone even though the account was correct. But I have found the problem.
Under stats there is a link about the wrong stats showing. On clicking the link there is then a button to link stats to the account. I did this on the old phone that had the correct stats. I then returned to the new phone and the stats were correct.
It seems by default that stats are saved on the device. You would think stats should be saved to the account by default. Strange thinking.
